I’m wondering for those who did their own taxes and efiled.... how long did it take to get your refund.  
This process seems to be taking forever. CRA says it was received which took nearly a week and now its finally showing “in process” but that been the case for a few days.  
Like should a person call or just assume that’s taking some time due to the volume of returns being submitted?? My return should be fairly straightforward so can’t imagine there being a problem.  
 
But curious about how long it’s taken others to get their refund?

Took two weeks after my efile was submitted before I got my direct deposit from CRA.

I submitted mine Mar.9 and my cra account says my refund will be direct deposited Mar.18.

Efiled March 13, CRA says it will be in my account March 21 ... can’t complain about that turnaround.

This seems odd. CRA site says “it’s being processed” but has said that for the last 5 days.  
(Sigh)

You should call to see why it is taking so long. Maybe there was a mistake in your return? Or you were chosen for an audit?

Mine took only 8 days but my friend did hers a week before me and still hasn’t got hers back. I think it depends on your return sometimes

Was netfiled on Mar 12th and when I look up its status says “in process” it has said that since the day I filed on March 12th. Did anyones say in process for a while then switch. Phoned the cra and they said shows its processing. I am getting a refund (not a big one) and need the money before the end of the month so hoping it gets done sooner then later.

from the day you efile to the day you should be able to view ion your cra account is 10-12 days, If you have direct deposit it will go in the same day you can view your assessment. If you have any debts or there are any changes they are making it can take up to 5 days longer. if you cant view it don't panic it is tax season and sometimes there are delays if they are doing updates to their system which they indeed have been doing for the past week.

on the audit as those usually happen after the current season is over. most people get notified via mail in july or later of they are being reassessed or audited. but if your slip was amended from an employer or it hasn't been submitted to the cra yet that will hold up your claim as well.

that message is normal what it means from the minute you efile is that their computer has assessed the fact you submitted your return. it will stay that way for 5-7 business days then will switvh to telling you when youll be able to view it online. in reality filing on the 12 th barring no issues or recalculations, amended slips or errors it should be able to be seen online around the 22-24th

When I efile I have always gotten my return within 10 business days.
