LonelyStar said "Okay, throwing another question out to you ebrandoners!
The family that got into this accident in August has now gotten ambulance bills in the mail. About 170$ for each person in their car (170$ x 7 people). Again not being from this country, I’m not too sure how this works. So if someone hits you, ambulance gets called, you never actually go in the ambulance, they just arrive on scene and do a quick once over - they still charge you that much money??
I was shocked to hear that is what happened! Is there a way to dispute this? Or??…payments? Or…?
What are your thoughts "
If paramedics attended to you and provided care, whether you were transported or not, you will receive a bill for their medical services.
If you have insurance, your insurance company will pay all or a percentage of it depending on your coverage.
If the bill was a result of a vehicle accident then MPI pays the invoice if you are from Manitoba and have coverage.
