I'm curious what card do people use for their credit card to get travel rewards or points. I am looking at the CIBC Adventura Visa card and the World Elite card from BMO. I am primarily interested in collecting points redeemable for air travel with no additional fees and no block out seats. I like the fact that both cards can be redeemed at all airlines. WE currently have a airmiles credit card and feel that it doesn't suits our needs. What does everyone use?

We use WestJet Mastercard.

capitol one elite, i like it for the purchase eraser option, erase any travel purchase with your points altho you get the best benefits for redemption over $600

Gives you 1 air mile for every $10 you spend, + 1000 bonus air miles, + with this card the air miles that you do have go way further. It costs 1600 Air Miles to get from Winnipeg/Brandon to Toronto, but with BMO, it costs 1200. It really adds up. I took 3 friends to Toronto for 3600 Air Miles, when it would normally cost 4800 for that trip.

is good, simply 2% rewards, better than most, should be easy to compare, if you find something better than 2% I guess it is better.

World Elite card one has to account for the $150 annual fee too. Says spend 5000, earn 100 for travel. Well just to cover the annual fee one would have to spend 7500 just to break even.

Actually if you can get a free card that gives you 1% rewards you would have to spend $15,000, but if you do spend more than $15,000 it is a great deal, if you spend less it's not worth it.
