With income tax season fast approaching you might want to open a "My Account" with the CRA.
It's the government website where you can change your address, set up direct deposit (neither of which you can do on your new income tax return), check contribution room for both your RRSP and TFSA, review past returns, etc.

Been doing mine there for a few years by the same guy every time, not some kid just trained last month that wont be around after tax time is over, fast reliable for a reasonable price.

I would not recommend h&r to anyone! Went there for a simple tax return the guy behind the desk was very hard to understand! He crunched some numbers and came up with me owing them 500 bucks yet couldn't give me a reason! So I said no and went to liberty the staff was awesome! I could understand them and on top of it I got 1500 back after they took their cut!!! H&R sucks!!!!

a few T4's etc...contact me via inbox. I will help you with Studio Tax software. You eFile and have the full refund in your account in 7 days.
I agree with posters above. I would not go to tax preparers like H&R with simple returns. Also they take a good cut for themselves.

I agree. If you have a simple tax return Studio tax is awesome. I'm not very wise in the tax world either and it was so easy to use.....AND FREE. You can make s donation if you want to buy not required.

Have used it for my last 4 returns. Quick, easy, and refund in my account in a week.

I have used Turbo Tax the last 3 years. I did my return on Friday and had my refund in my account this morning. $19.95.

We use Wendy as our personal and business Income tax person for few years now.

claiming income?

If you own a house and have a friend living with you as a roommate and they pay rent to you does that need to be claimed? It's not a 'revenue property' just sharing expenses. Does it need to be claimed as income? Thanks for any input
