Would like feedback on this program for start up small business did it work out well for you ?

I went years ago, business plan in hand. The guy I presented it to loved my idea then proceeded to tell me that they couldn't do anything for me because they didn't have any money! Tried getting grants after that and was flat out told, "it's too bad you aren't female, disabled or native"! Needless to say I didn't get any grants. Make sure you have tons of start up cash depending on your business and good luck to you.

I had a friend that worked at a different Community Futures branch (not Westman). It has very precarious funding, at the will of the government. I think the program is a good idea on some levels, but from an organizational standpoint it seemed to be highly dysfunctional, at least her branch. Lots of hoop-jumping that may or may not result in you getting money.

Yet we are told that we can't discriminate, but the government does it all the time...openly.

I received a business loan though the Brandon Branch. It went well. I paid it off in the allotted time.
