To get free credit score information,you need to write to the 2 credit agencies directly and request it. You may request 1 per year.

"Free" online ones want to you subscribe to a paid service. Don't do it. When I've requested by credit stuff previous from the companies, it took about 2 weeks.
And yes, it lists who you owe, what you owe, and whether or not you're paying according to your agreement with them. I don't think they give you your score, as that's considered "propriety information", but it gives you an idea of what's attached to you name.
