I know who that is!

I've been saying for years that the real reason the economy is always in "trouble" is because of greedy corporations/people hoarding trillions in off-shore accounts.

A name that anyone would recognize or just plain old Joe?

If it is who I think it is... then it's not surprising as they lived near Panama for a long time and perhaps just kept the account open.

You know I can't share who it is, the admins would delete it as fast as I put it up. Let's just say this person/company owns LOTS of housing in town.

With the Pamanama Papers does it not show people that moved assets to reduce the taxes they have to pay in the country they declare as their residence?  
 
The real question is has anyone been charged with a crime from the information that was released? To my knowledge the ability to do what many did was not illegal correct?

One of the websites the OP originally linked to says right on the page that there are legitimate reasons why people would have an offshore account.  
 
Frankly, I would rather assume any person who's name or company appears on the list to be innocent until such time there is proof that any wrong doing has occurred.  
 
CRA has ramped up investigations in the past couple of years, and it was recently in the news that they are hiring more auditors because they're finding so much money. I have confidence that they will eventually be caught.

at all the information, I don't think you are thinking of the right person.
