Looking to switch banks. Have been with CIBC for 13 yrs. They had the best telephone banking ever. (No, I do not have internet at home.)  
Recently they have changed their telephone banking and now it is virtualy impossible to even pay a bill via telephone without having to call in at least 6 times or being directed to a "representative" and waiting 15 minutes.  
No, it is not always convenient to go into the bank and pay at a teller or via ATM.  
Any recommendations on banks with great telephone banking service?

Have you thought about switching to a credit union? I am not sure about tele banking. I do know there phone service and answering questions is very good.

I do RBC mobile/phone banking and Manulife Bank mobile/pone as well if you like CIBC you could get a 2nd banking service that will work best and great for your mobile banking needs all you will need to do is make an automatic transfer once a week/or month as you need to do either from your CIBC to 'new bank acct' or from your 'new bank acct' to your CIBC.  
My manulife bank gives me interests that RBC doesn't do at all

- phone/mobile deposit Manulife Banking is just as excellent as RBC same amount of steps procedure  
- online banking payments for business RBC is one at a time but personal RBC can do multiple payments, Manulife banking can do multiple payments
