Wondering what unique things Brandon folks are planning to do to celebrate Valentine's with their sweetie this year? I'm always looking for something new to do.

My daughter's school does an AWESOME Send-A-Serenade campaign! You can send the group of serenaders to any workplace and home where they'll sing to your sweetie and deliver a note and chocolates. I do it every year!

Why is it necessary to have a special day like Valentines to show your significant other how much you love them..you should show your love everyday....am I wrong in saying this?

Sorry but you are wrong in saying that. The person was asking for ideas of what to do: not looking for your opinion on if he/she should do something.

I hope I never understand the hate for celebrating Valentine’s Day. It feels like it totally defies the point of the day. To me, it’s a day to celebrate love and who could think that is wrong?? Love for your spouse, children, parents, neighbours, teachers, heck even strangers!! You don’t need to spend money to show someone you love them so it’s only a money grab if you let it be. Go out and celebrate love!!!  
 
We don’t always celebrate on the actual day but we do try to do something nice for each other or go out for a date on the weekend.  
 
Op, to answer your question, I think a date to the axe throwing place on Park Ave East (I believe is the location!) would be fun and I might try to see if we can get in this weekend. Whatever you do, have fun!!!

Nothing says "I love you" on Valentine's Day like chocolates.  
We purchased chocolates from local Chocolate Dreams store on Rosser Ave. Nothing says "I love you" like eating chocolates and helping local businesses. A double helping of I love you
