Just received a recorded message saying I should call back (or my attorney should)to the number regarding a very serious issue.DO NOT call back .The CRA would not call. They would mail a letter via the post office.Just thought I would mention this is happening again.

got mine this morning-wouldn't be April if we didn't get these calls!

I am getting tired of my dozen calls a day from either Sharron or someone trying to let me know my website on Google may not be active....or something like that. Total waste of time these calls.

The (fake) calls from Microsoft are never ending.

I had 5 call this morning .  
3 from CRAIGSLIST & 2 from " lower the rate on your credit card.  
Had my "Vindows " one yesterday.  
Tis the season.

Quickest way to get rid of them is to say you don't own a computer.  
 
I also like to play with them sometimes if i'm bored lol, go through all the steps and then when they say its not working, say "of i forgot I don't have a computer.

I had one of these the other day and I played along with them for a bit and them he asked me what I had typed into my search bar. Told him....thisisascam, he got very mad, used some colourful words, threatened me and told me I had wasted his time LOL

I also started getting the cra emails for e transfers

The Microsoft Tech Support from East India are a favorite. I love pushing their buttons. When they tell me that I have a problem with Windows, I say "I know, my windows are only single pane and they're iced up, I can't see" :-D OR I'll tell them that Windows has detected a threat coming from Mumbai and the tech support person needs to go to school to learn better English so that they can get a REAL job some day (maybe drive a taxi or work at 7-11) and not have to make a living scamming computer users.

I got 2 calls from "cra" today, but I don't answer 866 numbers. They left a voicemail saying I need to call them to update my address ( and most likely confirm my identity with further info). Just wondering if this might be a scam as well? I filed taxes 3 weeks ago so cra should definitely have my address. My gut feeling is telling me it's not right

Jellybeanqueen : CRA will not phone or text you. It will be a physical letter in your mail box (snail mail), not electronic.  
Also this was an 800 number, not 866.Use common sense and caution when answering these calls.

I have received legitimate email from the CRA telling me to log into my account as there had been activity on my account. They did not provide me with a website to log into, I had to use my own bookmarks to get to my account. I generally don't use links provided in email.

I got an email asking me to sign up for some kind of account with CRA or i wouldn't receive some refund (which I do my own taxes). CRA will never say you won't get your refund unless you sign up for something, and especially not by some random email. DO NOT do this. Call CRA and confirm any communications.

Had 5 calls yesterday alone, 2 while we were away and voicemail messages told us to call before legal action was taken. The 3 calls we received while home didn’t get far enough to threaten legal action - hung up on them! Today two calls that rang only once but no one on the line when we picked up. Not all calls come from a 1-800 or 1-888 number and seeing as we have family and friends outside of MB we will usually answer in case it is a legit call.

get a minimum of three spam calls a day. Sometimes ten! if my phone says unknown caller, or list some weird number as name, and they don't leave a message, I ignore the call and delete it.
