Lately have had several people who are extremely pushy when wanting e-brandon items.  
One guy was plainly ugly and almost threatening that if I do not meet him to let him have an item before giving the first person that responded a chance, he will not take the item!! He kept sending messages one after another. IIf he was the last interested guy, that item would rather have gone to the trash.  
Another one was quite forceful to meet me at my house to "come and look at the items" but would not divulge which items they want to look at. Think again, I am not inviting anybody into my house that I don't know, specially if you are secretive about what you precisely want!!  
People arrived at the meeting spot claiming they forgot their wallets, not arrived, changed times a million times, pushy to meet at different places than what I feel comfortable with etc.  
Please everybody, stay safe, a sale is not worth a risky meeting. If it feels pushy and creepy, trust your gut instincts and step back.  
Thank you to the buyers who play it non-creepy, arrive on time and with the correct money!!!

I especially like the ones that can't come for three days and get angry when you won't promise to hold it for them. Then there are those that just don't show up after making arrangements to meet. Frustrating sometimes.

I too have sold many items on ebrandon, without any issues. If you are finding you are having issues, I think a great safety precaution is meeting at the police station. They have a spot allocated for just this purpose. Stay safe everyone

You can go to the police station to do your selling transactions for safety? Is this true? If so that’s fantastic for a single gal who doesn’t want weirdos coming to their home.

What are you people selling that brings weirdos to your door?! Lmao  
 
I have never had an issue and always have people come to my house. I am just tired of people asking for delivery. “Must pick up” means must pick up aka no delivery.

It is true, there is a sign in the police parking lot. It’s great.

The visitor parking lot on the south east corner is the safe sale transaction zone. They have lights and HD cameras in the lot focused on this area.

I think from now on I will just state in the adds that that is where exchange will happen. Perhaps the weirdos will stop even bothering to reply!

But if somebody is coming from a distance, it is nice if someone is willing to hold an item. eBrandon covers a large area. It can get frustrating on that end too. However, I don't think that makes it right to harass the seller.  
 
I can understand if it is someone from in the city making you wait 3 days, but please give the people from the country a bit of slack. We aren't all rude or unreliable and sometimes it makes the most sense to make arrangements for when we are coming in anyway. Please keep that in mind.  
 
Smallwonder,that reply where they would not tell you what item they were interested in? That one is a scammer.

I have had almost all good experiences selling on ebrandon..just be aware that if someone says , "yes, I will take it for sure" does not mean they will show up...sell it to the first person who shows up with the money...Last year I had a chain link gate for sale,and I waited for him to show up.He said 11 am..and he was a no show...so I sold it to the next person in line...much later in the day they showed up and were mad I sold it to someone else...He even had his parents come to my house for it after I sold it to someone else.my advise...no holds...

It didn't take very many "I don't get paid till Friday's" to not show up before I just started telling people first come first served. I offer to hold it if they want to send me an e-transfer.  
 
Most people are fine with meeting at Tim Hortons...but I have had a few that wanted to come to my place and pick it up...then balk when I say I'll come to their house instead.

I put an ad on ebrandon a week and a half ago and already recieved two scam replies on my text. They are from out if country and want to purchase the item , but want me to set up a paypal account and have someone come and pick up the stuff at a later date....scam, beware! Remember, cash is king!! I emailed ebrandon and let them know.

I as well have recently had a scammer messaging me regarding an ebrandon ad. Watch out!

We have had some scammers try us in the last little while as well. Rule number one....If it doesn't seem right, it probably isn't. Move on.

I've had my share of obvious scammers replying to my ebrandon ads, too. Along with aggressive buyers with multiple offers and emails, no-shows, and people who do show up... and tell me they only brought X amount of cash with them, so will I sell it to them for that amount instead?  
 
That last one has happened three times and the first time I accepted it. But the other two I just said we agreed on a price and if you're not interested I'll put the ad back up. One produced the actual amount and the other I just took my item back with me. Those two guys got bitter with me and I'm happy I brought a friend with me both times.  
 
Good to hear about the BPS spot! I'm definitely adding that to my ads when I post them from now on.

I haven't had any creepy experiences. However, I did purchase a product with an expiry date and was told that it didn't expiry for a year. Turns out it had actually expired 2 years ago, but the expiration dates had been altered with a black fine tip marker. (which rubbed off). Not to mention the one number on another date that had been completed rubbed off!  
 
I did get my money back, but there was more product being sold, and I'm willing to bet it was all expired.  
 
If you buy products with an expiration date, be sure to check them before you pay!!!!

do not ever buy items that have expiration dates! Do not buy these items from any type of reselling website.
