Recommendations for who to see/where to go for a simple name tattoo. Thanks!

It really depends on the style of writing you want. Ward's tattoo shop (any artist) are great. I hear iron tattoo is also good think name Steve has come up often. In any case these 2 shops would be my first choices. Really anyone should be able to do it for you.

My preference for shops is Blood & Iron on Rosser, everyone down there is great. That being said, if you are looking for lettering only, Steve at Warlock is very good and well known for his s:cript work.

Courtney at Ward's has done a few text tattoos for me as well as others for me and my wife. Always quality work in a great atmosphere.

with Courtney for 3 hours in June. I went to another famous shop in town and wasn't real happy nobody would answer a couple simple questions without an appointment and costing money.  
 
I didn't realize Ward still had his own shop until it showed up online in a search, and I saw her pictures there. I just popped in to ask somebody for an opinion. she had just finished her last customer that day.  
 
She answered my questions talked for about 30 mins,and had some great ideas for what to do with my design from a picture I found online.  
 
I had never met her before and felt totally comfortable talking with her and from seeing her pictures felt real comfortable letting her do my Tattoo.  
To be honest I looked at some other guys work at other places, lots of it I thought why did a guy want that or it looks nice but there was only a few I thought WOW thats fantastic, Courtney was one of them for somebody fairly new to Tattooing .  
 
The only downside is they are real busy I booked my appointment 2 weeks ago and there was only 2 3 hour slots left for June then. I've been wanting this done for over 20 years since my first one, so whats waiting another 2 months going to matter L.O.L

I was just looking for old discussions regarding who to go to. lol!! This is off topic but I want to get a tattoo on my ribs. I am wondering if it is painful.

Recommending anyone at Ward's as well! Great place, great people. But now that it's summer they are probably all booked up until fall. haha  
 
 
MY World: ribs hurt more than other areas. Anywhere you don't have a lot of fat it going to have that sharp pinching or burning feeling while you're under the needle. But you only have to sit through it once to get the tattoo forever!
