Our family was going to take our first ever trip to Orlando this July. Just wanted to know what is the cheapest way to get the Disneyworld Park Hopper multi day passes? Is it any cheaper to get it directly in Orlando? I can get them online through the disney website but will pay the existing rate.

Check CAA here or Undercovertourist.com (take note this website I believe has already added in taxes so make sure you are comparing this from Disney website). Do buy in advance to avoid yet another line up there.  
 
Will you do multiple parks in one day? It is time consuming and exhausting to switch parks. If you are only going to do it once it may be cheaper to just buy a 7 day vs 6 day pass (then you just use your "7th day" to hop to another park). or whatever # days you are going...

Been multiple times, we don't park hop because it takes time to get around and we have kids. We pick a park and do it for the day. It is also cheaper to do non hoppers and go for more days if your timing works. Agree with Bluebell.  
 
On a side note, there are very few reputable places you get can a disney discount. Most are scams or require a time share tour or something. We buy either from CAA or online. You can buy at the park entrance however expect that to set you back about an hour in time. Note, if you buy from CAA or online now, you can set your fast passes up in My Disney Experience. If you buy at the gate you can link it all at the park but your fast pass options are quite limited.

Our family has been there 3 times and honestly I wouldnt spend the extra money to park hop. The parks easily take a good day each to enjoy and see everything. And I agree with above posts...dont risk finding a "deal" and getting scammed.CAA or the parks website is the way to go for tickets. Have fun..its a wonderful trip!

I have also been multiple times with kids. I always get the park hopper plus. for two reasons.  
 
1. If I am shelling out that kind of money I am going to spend the extra $100 per ticket to not only be able to go to another park if say I only spend 1/2 my day in Animal Kingdom and want to go see the end of night fire works at epcot etc.  
2. with the extra per ticket can spend a day at the water parks and its i:ncluded!  
 
everyone is different but I will always find a way to save a few dollars in order to get the best ticket that allows for the most options. Last visit (Jan 2017) we stayed at a place that had free bus couple times a day and saved $20 per day in parking. lots of little tricks to save a few bucks.  
 
in regard to tickets I also disagree. I ended up buying direct from Disney as they had a deal specific to Canadians BUT... I bought my Universal tickets though a 3rd party with NO ISSUES. lots of them are very reputable.

Even if you buy direct from Disney I recommend buying them in advance. will save you some time and grief 1st day at the parks

We had park hopper and we never ended up using them. Personally I wouldn't purchase again.
