Stolen from yard sale...

I had a yard sale yesterday and a Nikon D60 SLR camera was stolen when my back was turned, likely when I was getting change for someone. I was pretty careful to keep an eye on everything but clearly not good enough.

I guess I’m just wondering if there’s something I should do, or should I just cut my losses and move on?

Theft or shrinkage?

Was the camera your personal property that was not i:ncluded in your yard sale? Then report the theft to police and make a claim on your household insurance policy. Was the camera part of your yard sale items for sale? Think of it as any vendor would of theft. It is "shrinkage" and part of the everyday risk of doing business. Move on.

I had $40 cash stolen from my last garage sale, right from mmy cash box while helping someone load a dresser. It's just something that can happen in everyday life, and much more common during yard sales when a bunch of strangers are tromping around. Sorry.
