From what I understand, it is not switching your fruit for another kind you want...
The volunteers come pick YOUR unwanted fruit, or fruit you cannot harvest.
YOU get 1/3 if it, the volunteer pickers get 1/3 of it, and the last 1/3 is given to a local charity or food bank.
