    I don't think I should lol. I have given the thought for council or better yet the school division. School board I would have every teacher in the division hating me lol. Maybe if I had more time on my hands I wonder. "

    You’d actually do quite well on council. You wouldn’t let the big guys push you around, you’re vocal and provide facts and you’re always holding your own here on this forum which can be pretty hardcore. You really should consider, I think you’d succeed depending on your neighbor hood and counsellor

    Just 2 wards now showing as would-be acclaimed on the BrandonVotes site. Still a couple more days for nominations...... please if you're in Linden Lanes of Green Acres, consider running even if you dont think you can win. Biggest concern when any candidate is acclaimed is the potential for lack of exchanges of ideas and lack of debate that spurs on progress, so great to see more wards that will hopefully have those kinds of exchanges. That's hopefully not going to be a concern with Mayor where there's looking to be a real possibility for acclamation. Fingers crossed more names step up for school board too for the same reason.  
     
    Hopefully see more profiles make it up onto the BrandonVotes site too. For some of us it might be our main window into a candidate's thinking and you know what they say about first impressions!

    Not complaining about Berry being acclaimed. Shawn along with a couple other current councillors campaigning to keep their seats have fought pretty hard at the table to keep things affordable for residents. It's tough though when bleeding hearts hand over our money like they earned it themselves, but I digress on city charity talk  
     
    Would really have liked to see all candidates campaign though.

    If Stephen is elected, it might give me a reason to watch BSD meetings. He'll go through financials with a fine tooth comb and then comb it again.

    I don't know what ward you live in but I suggest people check out the candidates views on Brandon votes website.  
     
    I see one candidate for the Rosser ward wants to help people buy their own homes for the first time.  
     
    Who helped us? We all had/have to scrimp and save if we want to buy a home. I really don't like the idea of our tax dollars going to help someone buy a new (to them) home.
