Baseball diamonds, BU gym and the new fire hall

Anyone else catch this story on CKX yesterday?

Seems to me the city was already preparing a site for new diamonds last year at the little known corner of 19th and Maple when, for some reason, :b they had to stop developing them and start again this season at a slightly different location.
Not registering an opinion on the Fire Hall location but, I just wanted to point out that the delay in getting new diamonds is hardly BU's fault.
