I wonder if anyone has the coles note versions of where we sit. Going by my memory 18th was supposed to be started by now. Two years for the first street bridge then we go forward. 1st is still unfinished with another layer of pavement yet?  
 
Final designs yet to come for the daly upgrade? Yes of course glitches and delays happen. Is there a new timeline available for a look see?  
 
The civic election is done. I would not or should not expect any delays that drag us in another reason for delay(S) like a provincial election.

Last December 8th they declared the 1st street bridge was completed. It still isn’t done. This will be the second year without asphalt. All that road salt being tracked over our new concrete bridge. So much for new. Curbs aren’t completed.  
 
Also last December 13 they released 4 potential options for the 18th street bridge. Nothing since.  
 
Budget cuts to the Department of highways I suspect.  
 
I predict no bridge for a loooong time

I had opportunity to talk with a local engineer with MIT and the subject of the bridges came up. I was told that the 1st St bridges would be paved and finished next summer, then work would begin on the overpass in about Nov, 2019. The design has not been finalized and not expecting it to go to tender until early 2019.

So, the sign will go up just before the election.  
 
I wouldn't bet my life on it ever getting built in the next 5 years.
