Not wishing to start a discussion on the cost of rentals in the Westman area, but as a rental company looking to invest in rural community towns close to the Brandon area, we are looking to find out where people would like to live but find it difficult to source rental properties in the more rural towns.  
Would be interested to hear your views on the nearby towns and availability.

Are you talking affordable rental spots or high end spots? Deloraine, Boissevain, Killarney, Cartwright, all could use affordable housing, and not just for seniors, all that seems to be available at present is crappy little houses run by slumlords.

Everybody always had wait lists because of all the oilfield activity in town.

They could use more condos with garages to rent. I have been on a waiting list for 3 years!

Was also going to suggest Virden. I follow a Virden Facebook page and there''s always people on there looking for places to rent!

A group in Sandy Lake is working to build some Lifelease units. There is a genuine interest for occupancy. We would be very interested in partnering with you.

Is your company going to build new units or purchase existing properties for conversion? What sector of community will you be looking for as tenants?

Wawanesa, Glenboro, Ninette. Pretty much anywhere I would think close to small towns.

Definitely...Always more people needing to rent and a real shortage of either homes or apartments!

For property to build on / develop, apparently the former Canadian Pacific Railway property from Nesbitt to Rathwell has been sold to some local people. This would generally i:nclude Station Grounds of about 300’ wide by close to a half mile in length, right inside the towns. This line would likely i:nclude the towns/communities of Nesbitt, Treesbank, Stockton, Glenboro, Cypress River, Holland, and Treherne. Possibilities?
