Hiatus Hernia Repair Feedback/Reviews

I would question the diagnosis first of all. I was told for 14 years by a surgeon in Brandon that I had one. One time I would see him and he would say I should have the surgery the next time he would say I didn't. I was scoped four times by him without sedation as he wouldn't use it.I move to New Brunswick and go to a specialist so I could get surgery. He does all the same testing, including the scope with sedation, the surgeon did and all I have is GERD due to a weak stomach value. SO if you had your diagnosis done by a surgeon in Brandon I would ask to see a specialist. I had a friend that had the surgery and was on a clear liquid diet for a month so just clear broth, with no particles in it, and water. Then he was able to have soup with no large pieces in it. You have to slowly introduce larger and larger foods. Also recommend doing your research on what a Hiatus Hernia is. Just advice from someone that has gone through all the testing.
