I have a ton of old plastic grocery bags. Aside from trying to stuff them in the bins in some of the grocery stores, is there anywhere else to take them?

They are 100% recyclable. They are often used in making denim.

The Catholic church on 4th st collects them to make sleeping mats for homeless people.

I'm pretty sure I read in the past they are not and not to place in our recycle bins?!

As you are leaving superstore, on your left hand side, between the two out doors, there is a round hole in the wall, for plastic bags. There is a sign right above it.

I assume being this was posted on ebrandon I would post the brandon rules .  
 
You are correct though and this is what leads to mass confusion as every city has different rules as to what is and isnt accepted and it is frustrating. One place tells you to recycle pizza boxes, the next city says they srent recyclable, plastic bags are, plastic bags arent etc.  
 
I have seen a bin around as well but cant recall where it was. Maybe home depot? I know they have the battery recycling but cant recall if I remember seeing plastic bag as well. Been some time since I've been there.

thanks for mentioning the Nearly New Shop as we are running low. The store is closed today but opens on Thursday

The MCC thrift shop is also running low on bags if you have enough for another store. It's located on Pacific avenue between 4th st and 5th st.

I always have a lot because I always forget my reusable bags when I shop!! I will drop them off at one of the shops this week!

ebrandon works..many bags coming into the Nearly New today so we really appreciate this! We can store them for future use.

We are always in need of tissue paper or wrapping paper suitable for for packing dishes, glasses, ornaments etc
