Got a call from AIL Canada saying they had to change our appointment. We never made an appointment. He claims that we recently cancelled our life insurance but I don’t recall having any with them. We have a policy with another company. My husband lost his job back in October and we lost our insurance through his work, but that is also a different company. Just feeling like it may be a trick to get in the door. Insurance companies sometimes change names and I’m not sure if this is legit. Did anyone else get a call similar to this from AIL Canada?

I would assume that it is a scam or possibly a wrong number (unless they knew your name etc.).  
This is AIL's website, https://www.ailife.com/About maybe use their contact to advise them of what occurred and give them the 'phone number that called you.
