I found a new vehicle I want to buy, but it is unfortunately in Saskatchewan. What is the process of purchasing from this province? How big a hassle would it be, is it worth it?

My current vehicle was purchased in sask. It was a pretty painless process, the dealer can easily walk you thru it. Being new made it a bit easier than the last sask vehicle I bought used but even then was a breeze. Sask safeties meet/exceed Manitoba and are recognized as valid.  
 
Talk to your dealer but ya sask is a great place to buy. I'll never buy another ford from our horrible dealer in brandon. They just dont give a crap here. Only place I've bought a Brandon new truck and when I picked it up was not washed and had 1/8th tank of fuel. Every other ford I've bought and other new vehicle has i:ncluded a full tank of gas and been properly detailed.

I can't speak to a private sale, but I recently imported a vehicle from a dealer in dirty Alberty.  
 
All I needed was the Bill of Sale from the dealer, and I had a MB safety done on it. You *may* be able to use a safety from another province, I'm not sure.

I just bought my car from a dealer in BC. Just needed to get a MB safety and put a claim in for the PST I paid in BC. No hassle, just a little extra work.

For all the feedback...and yes it is the ford dealership! Glad to know I’m not the only one who thinks it’s worthwhile!
