Brandon Woman w/Breast Cancer gets Cut off ALL income/benefits!

The provincial government cut ALL of her income and ALL benefits as of Sept 1st 2019 and has had no income since. Provincial was still covering her meds but got a letter in the mail stating they are no longer paying for her meds either. Her file with them has been permanently closed and theres absolutely no way she can do anything about it.

She has been through so much the past couple years She is the strongest woman that I know and she's fighting as hard as she can, no matter what comes her way.

What makes me upset personally is that the Provincial Government in MB knows that she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and the following health conditions (listed below) and barely gave her notice & permanently closing her file, leaving her with 0.00 income and stopped paying her meds so now she's unable to pay for medication that she needs.

Diagnoses over the past year:
-Stroke (about a year ago)
-Angina, clogged arteries, high blood pressure
-Arthritis all through her back and legs and nodules around the spinal discs and will need surgery on one of her knees (chronic over the past few years)
-Breast Cancer (she has had surgery to remove a malignant tumor in July)
-Minor Stroke (recent)

The arthritis in her neck & back is extensive but mostly in the legs, making it very painful and makes it difficult to walk & get around sometimes.
Starts radiation in October.

She is struggling and is in need of some help paying for the following:
-Paying for her medications
-Food/Groceries
-The Animals (cat/dog food, cat litter)
-Her phone bill (that she needs to stay in touch with all of her doctors)
-Hydro

Its terrible. I cant say much because of privacy. But basically because of legal issues involving a divorce.

that is crazy ! i recognize this picture im assumimg shes been in to see me at my employment such a nice lady its disgusting she is going through this

While I feel bad for what this person is going through, I have to believe there is more to the story. Hope things work out in the end.

Please help this lady contact her local MLA's office today and explain how urgent this situation is and that she needs some help ASAP. I'm sure they will respect her need for confidentiality. Good luck.

So she got cut off of EIA (welfare) because she got a divorce settlement? That would make sense, if the settlement was for a large enough sum of money. There must be a cut off point for EIA, I presume she got more than that?

Its funny how you say "I can't say much because of privacy" but you were able to post her medical issues and her picture with no problems.

I am all for helping people, but I think when the general public is being asked to donate to causes, we have a right to know why. I'm sure there is more to the story then just to do with a divorce.

All Court cases in Man. are a matter of public record. The only exception is if the Judge orders a Publication Ban, or orders the file be sealed or its a case involving a young person. Click on the following and follow the directions: http://www.jus.gov.mb.ca/
