Just wondering what everyones favourite public washrooms are in the city?

My judgement with public restrooms is that it's not about the washrooms themselves... but the people who last used them and those who are supposed to keep them clean. Any "port in the storm will do" as long as people aren't savages or lazy. As a male and a father I find that men/teens/boys are absolutely disgusting, filthy, lazy, thoughtless and mentally immature animals. I could go into details, but we know what we're talking about. Men/boys would never leave a toilet or sink in such a mess if it was managed by their moms. But if it's a public toilet... What da F#(% !!?? Is it so small that you can't hold on to it, so you lost control and pi$$ everywhere? Are you thinking that you are a feral cat and need to spray to mark your territory? What is your body position and are you wearing a dress to crap that much out onto everything, except the inside of the bowl? Because I can't see any male be able to do that while wearing pants. It's no wonder there's water and paper towels everywhere because doing something like that would require washing/spaying down their @$$es for doing an event like that in a stall. How can they behave like that in a public space? And I understand that the cleaning staff can only do so much before giving up and just cleaning (I use that lightly) at the end of the day. I don't blame them because it's sickening of the disrespect that many men/boys do when they believe they are anonymous and never accounted for their actions & dirty habits. So, my answer to the OP is that for any men's room... When the stalls can lock, everything is clean and the floors are dry - I'll call that the best public washroom.

Agree with you... Some mens’ washrooms, you can’t even walk past because they smell so bad. It’s not from lack of cleaning, it’s the disrespect from the people who use them. Shame on them.

How about if we hear from some of the ladies and their point of view ???

Messy bathrooms are absolutely not limited to mens washrooms. When it comes to public washrooms both genders can be absolutely disgusting. When I first joined the job force I had a position cleaning and that i:ncludes washrooms in a large grocer. The men it was simple, pee/poop water and toilet paper everywhere it didnt belong.  
 
The womans washroom was as bad or worse...all of the above mentioned in the mens and in addition was not unusual to find used womens pads stuck to stall walls/sides of toilet and floor. I have a hard time imagining these women would do such in their own home and dont know why they felt a public washroom was a suitable place for this.

As I was mulling over this topic in my mind, I was remembering all the awful bathrooms that I have had to clean in my life, I realized all the horrific bathrooms that I have encountered were all here in Canada, mainly Manitoba. I have lived in 3 other countries (visited many more) and lived in 4 other cities in Canada and I can honestly say that the worst bathrooms have bee around here..... it an incredibly interesting realization.... I wonder why we find it so hard to use a bathroom?...

I used to work a job that i:ncluded cleaning washrooms in a big box store, mens room was always stray pee on the floor, womens was like you say, used tampons or pads on the floor, and occasionally child size deuces sitting there right next to the toilet.  
 
No offense to the ladies out there but the thing that irked me the most was I had to block off the door when cleaning, and women always lined up and bitched at me that the store should get a woman to do the cleaning so they could still use the washroom.  
 
The funny thing was I blocked off the mens room too and guys didn't complain they just waited patiently.

As far as Brandon goes, I find the Shoppers Mall bathrooms the best for cleanliness, availability, and extra amenities (like the family washroom), and Walmart bathrooms the worst.

You need the George Costanza iToilet app. I personally have a few go to's in various areas of the city, but I think I'll keep a lid on them.

The husky gas station on 18th across from COOP gas has the most outstandingly clean washroom I have ever used!! 10STARS!!

Going to go with the one Santa uses on Richmond rooftop.

My sister cleans washrooms at different places of businesses and she says the women's washrooms are the worst and some are so bad you have to turn around and go right out.  
 
Worked one place (a kitchen) and the women's washrooms always had one stall that would have shit on the wall around the toilet and on the toilet. Come on. no one knew who it was. On one occasion someone who went in right after someone used that stall so all the shit. Went right to union steward and reported it. The rest of us supported this reporting. Disgusting behavior. And in a kitchen environment. yuk.  
 
I would say no one has had worst bathroom experience then a McD washroom done in the USA. We stopped as I really had to go. I went in and there was people lined up. Most of the toilets were piled high with shit and toilet paper. No one could use them. I took one look turned right away. Grabbed by hubby at the till and said no way am I eating in this place.  
 
It comes to the people using the washrooms that make the messes. The cleaners do all they can but other than standing in the washroom and watching everyone what can they do?  
 
And the fact is if it was their washroom at home, it is probably spotless.  
 
All comes down to respect for other people.

Walmart the worst in Brandon.......I hate touching anything in there. Costco in Winnipeg......has a permanent sh** smell all the time. So gross

Coming from the UK, I love a washroom where the stall doors close without a half inch gap down either side. What is it with stall manufacturers in North America? No one own a tape measure? And bonus points if the door actually locks!

You know what? No one can fit an electrical outlet level in North America either, so a bath room door must be near impossible. And why can’t tyre shops inflate tyres to the correct pressure? Comes down to people having no pride in their work.
