    I noticed some tracks on the river heading west from dinsdale. I have been debating it for a bit now. Anyone have any reports of ice thickness or open spots?

    I have been thinking about the same thing. If you would like to go Sunday, I would go with you. I'm sure we can use our discretion and enjoy a ride. Let me know please.

    Captain obvious is right.  
     
    The whole reason I made the post was to see if it was safe to ride yet. If they really fell through you would of heard it on the local news some where.

    I always use the same rule of thumb. While driving north over the First St. bridge look east at the river. Once you can no longer see open water it's safe to skidoo on the river. You still always be aware of conditions.

    15” of good ice from first street to 26th street , drilled holes in 4-5 different spots
