I have a book that is all about my family history dating back to 1745. It was published by a company, but my cousin who had it done can't remember who did it, but gave me full permission to have a copy made somehow so that my biological child could have a copy for themselves. My biological child has come back into my life ANF is interested in knowing they family history! I have some other books as well that I can copy on my own because they have bindings designed to remove or add pages so I'll be able to easily take them book apart to make photocopies of the pages. But this other book is professionally done and I don't want to wreck the book, so was really hoping there was someone who could make a copy of it somehow for a reasonable price of course! Please let me know!

It is possible to use an optical scanner, handheld or flatbed, to copy the pages, maybe Staples could advise if you took the book to them.  
You could purchase an hand held one and transfer to computer with the use of optical character recognition software to convert to an editable file.  
Alternatively maybe set up a camera and snap each page and have them printed off.
