I just read a heartbreaking Facebook post about a man crying in the baby formula aisle because he could not buy formula for his 4 month old baby. Some of the comments made me realize that some people may have items they aren't using, but could help a fellow citizen in need of during these shortages. Perhaps you switched formulas, or have diapers left from when your baby moved up a size, or baby wipes that your baby is sensitive to, so you had to switch brands. This is not limited to baby needs. Maybe you have some extra toilet paper, paper towels or soap that could help out someone who didn't have the means to buy something before the hoarding began.  
 
Perhaps people in need could post on here, and fellow ebrandoners could offer to help out. I am not one that has hoarded anything, and I think/hope my family has enough to get by for the next few weeks. But, maybe I have something that I don't even realize that might help someone else out. Let's all pull together during this uneasy time, and show each other that compassion and empathy is still a thriving part of our community.

Well said and I completely agree. Though this situation is anxiety-provoking, it is also an opportunity to act with the compassion and generosity that can hold our community together. I will watch this thread for opportunities to help and hope others will. When you tire of watching the news, try googling "Acts of Kindness in the Pandemic".

We are checking on our elderly neighbours to see if they want any help with shopping.

I heard that if you can’t get formula then phone the number on the can and they will send you a case free...good start and enfamil are reportedly doing this, maybe other brands. Worth a try anyways.

I think a lt of people would help. Lots of us keep a full pantry normally so may have a few things we can spare, just ask and someone will likley match up with your need  
 
stores should be back to normal soon. Some companies I know are reducing skus but will have basic stuff available as long as people space out their buying, trucks can only hold so much
