It’s been weeks already and still not showing. I have been told it’s been filed weeks ago, they emailed me a copy. I don’t know if it’s a glitch in the system or not. It’s very frustrating.

Very frustrating! Especially when you can't call and talk to them. Have you applied for EI yet? Cause you can apply without the roe. There's a question that is asked if you have it you just answer that it's been requested.  
 
On good times it's frustrating trying to get an roe from a company. During this time it's downright horrible. I hope it shows up for you soon.

I applied the second I could. Legally employer is to supply it within 5 days. After hounding then I got confirmation on the 5th business day that it was done and supposedly filed. I requested a copy so I could see for myself it was done. Received an emailed copy the next day.  
 
It’s extremely frustrating. I have gotten my code and filled out my cards for the last 2 weeks already. Claim still shows under review. Other coworker I talked to who got laid off the same time said his ROE is also not showing yet.

Mine did not show up the first two times it was filed because the boss, firstly, only filed one persons instead of all of them, and, secondly, it did not have a serial number on it but once he did it correctly, it showed up right away.

Says under review but there's a section at the bottom that you can click on to see more information!  
 
There's a grey box that has a few things you can click on. Click on the one that says something about current claim. It will give you dates and details including how log since you applied and when your money will be processed.

Make sure when you log in it may say “under review” but if you did you’re reports scroll down it should say we processed your report, then look under payments. My spouse applied 2 weeks ago did the first report Saturday I checked Sunday well technically at midnight it still says under review but that they processed his report and he’s getting Cerb deposited as of Yesterday! Quick!

When I do that it says the page has expiry and to login to try again. Tried a few times and the same thing.  
 
Now it won’t even let me into my account all together even to view it.

My understanding is if you've already applied for EI, DON'T apply for CERB as your EI claim will automatically to rolled over to the CERB program. This will be in effect for the 16 weeks (4 months) that CERB is scheduled to run. Your EI claim will then kick in and run for whatever time you are entitled to.  
 
Also, they recommend you set uo direct deposit (if you haven't already) or your cheques (money) will not arrive in s timely fashion.

Got through. It says they have received my report and it will be processed once a decision is made. So I wait I guess.

So apparently the ROE’s were not submitted. Needless to say I am fuming.

That depends if it is done through the govt website or it’s done by hand and mailed. Hopefully it’s the first scenario for you.

If you issue ROEs electronically and your pay period is weekly, biweekly (every two weeks), or semi-monthly (twice a month, usually the fifteenth and last day of the month), you have up to five calendar days after the end of the pay period in which an employee's interruption of earnings occurs to issue an electronic ROE.  
 
If you have a monthly pay period or 13 pay periods per year (every four weeks), you must issue electronic ROEs by whichever date is earlier:  
 
five calendar days after the end of the pay period in which an employee experiences an interruption of earnings: or  
15 calendar days after the first day of an interruption of earnings.

Supposed to be electronically sent but still not showing.  
 
A family member I have said it should show in real time. Now I will give them the benefit of the doubt for a bit considering the system is likely overloaded right now but I am extremely upset at this.

Only if you applied from March 15 til now NOT prior claims.  
 
There is a 4/6 week turn over for regular or sick benefits normally so I realize it’s a bad time but you just need to take it easy they’re processing like normal just everyone is impatient right now.  
 
It’s two seperate departments processing regular ei and cerb, so just breathe.

My cra account shows that I am not eligible for CERB, even though I filed a new claim after March 15, they reactivated my old claim from this summer and now I am stuck with the way lower benefit. Can’t get through to anybody on the phone. It’s depressing knowing you have no one to turn to for answers.

I thought you need to qualify for the CERB, it just not given. If you said you had EI last summer, that can play a role inmlower payments.

Need to call EI and see if they will cancel the old claim so you can apply for cerb. Just wanted to make sure you were calling the right people considering it might be a couple days on hold to get through.

Yes, in normal circumstances I do qualify for CERB, as I was on EI this summer, returned in the fall and then lost my job to COVID-19, but because I already had a previous EI claim, it was reactivated. I’ve been trying to get through to EI for 2 days, but it just says lines full and call back later.

If I already applied for EI 2 weeks ago do I need to do anything now to apply for cerb. My claim for normal ei isn’t processed yet. Do I have to do weekly reports and apply for jobs when getting the cerb?

If you started a new Employment Insurance (EI) claim within the last 52 weeks and there are still weeks payable on that claim, we will automatically reactivate (renew) your existing claim when you submit your application.  
 
In some cases, it may be to your advantage to cancel or end your old claim and start a new claim, because this may increase the amount of your benefits or the length of your benefit period.  
 
You must decide whether or not to cancel or renew a claim based on your own personal situation.  
 
It is important to consider:  
 
if your claim is reactivated and you work after the start of that claim, you may be able to establish a new claim when your existing claim runs out.  
in order to establish a new claim you must have enough insurable hours and meet the qualifying conditions for a new claim.  
if a new claim is established instead of reactivating your existing claim, the remaining weeks payable on the existing claim will be lost.  
additionally, a one-week unpaid waiting period must be served on a new claim before you are entitled to receive payment.

You dont apply for cerb. You've already applied for EI. But you do need to keep doing your reports. If you qualify for cerb, you'll probably be rolled into it through EI. I wouldn't look for a job. If you make any income at all you are disqualified from cerb unless they change it.

The idea is that you'll have your old job to go back to. The federal government is doing this so that workers wont have to be rehired (hopefully). Assuming you were working when everything shut down.

To anyone who has applied for EI that does not have their ROE showing it is because it has not been sent. Get it resubmitted!  
 
For myself it took a lot to finally get it sent in. Legally supposed to be in within 5 days. Mine took a month. Funny how once it was actually sent it showed in my account within a couple hours.

If you have applied for EI and it was approved, are you even eligible for CERB? If yes, who do you call? The EI people or someone else? I know many people have been frustrated over the last few weeks and can’t get ahold of anyone

Send them to this website. You can not get both EI and cerb at the same time. If you've already applied for EI, you do not apply for cerb, whether your EI is approved or not.

I thought if you have applied for EI after March 15/20, it automatically gets switched to CERB? What do you mean about no eligibility for CERB?

Its about the date you became eligible for EI, not the date you applied.  
 
I'm not sure anymore which comment I mentioned eligibility in, but I know I did in reference to self employed people. Its been a long week. To qualify for cerb you need to have absolutely no employment income, which means anyone with reduced income/ hours doesn't qualify. So there are lots of self employed people still making a small bit of income and they cant get it.

I am just annoyed at how unclear the infomation is.  
 
I applied for EI Mar 20. My account then told me to do a report of hours/income Mar 28. At the end of the report it said they needed more infomation and to call.  
 
Well I have been calling their darn number everyday (except weekends obvs), all throughout the day, and have gotten nowhere.  
 
They ooen at 830am...I call at 830am and due to the high number of calls, fhey cannot take my call (thank you auto msg). Or the number doesnt dial, or it dials then hangs up on me.  
 
Yesterday it shows that my EI is no longer under approval and a decision was made, buuuuuut it is not clear on if I am getting anything.  
 
I am sure there are lots of people in my boat, as the last time I had EI was maternity leave many moons ago, and do not remember any of this system.  
 
It would be nice is their phone lines actually worked

That is the message I got when I did my report on Mar 28, and have never ever been able to actually reach anyone at that number.  
 
So i dont know if I should give up and just wait to see if money magically appears in my account in 3-5 business from yesterday, or keep calling. Ugh.
