As the spring is her again, I once again worry about the little dogs who have to keep up with the bike riders. What else can they do? The dogs can't stop and be dragged along. How can anyone riding a bike expect their leashed short legged little dogs to keep up with them while they ride their bikes. It makes me so sad to see this. Please would the bike riders give this a second thought instead of riding a bike which works for them. Maybe walk or run with your dog. Yes, maybe the odd dog loves it, but how would we humans feel if we had to run along side a car while tied to the vehicle?

People have a tendency to treat their pets better than themselves, and even their own family. Theres the odd POS but generally people LOVE their pets. I highly doubt anyone would drag their small dog along behind a bike in a manner that was dangerous to the dog. I have a small corgi, he is considered a working/herding breed. He would drag me on my bike for hours if given the chance. Think you need to calm down a little bit over it. Dogs are meant to exercise, not live as couch pets.

I also have a corgi, I worry that people think badly at me when we run! But those little less go and he’s so happy to be running.

Mixed breed. Was told he was told he is a jack Russell when we bought him as a dog. But all the vets and everyone at doggy daycare think he has some whippit in him with his long legs. Anyways. He’s the fastest dog at the dog park when we take him and he will out run my other dog any day of the week. If I biked him he would be the happiest little dog on the block
