    Our bike was stolen last night. The thief abandoned their own (crappy) bike in our yard, took a chain cutter to our bike lock, and took off with our (much nicer) bike. If anyone sees this bike abandoned, or for sale, please let us know. (Yes the police have been notified, but they are unable to help)

    Why don't you post a picture of the crappy bike the thief left behind ? Maybe some one will recognize the bike and the person who used to own it !!!

    Police unable to help. Your bike has been reported stolen. If the police see someone riding it, the rider will get arrested. If an abandon bike is reported and turns out to be yours you'll get it back. Not to sure what you mean police unable to help. What you expecting them to do?  
     
    I'm not be critical and I will be on the look out for your bike.

    The bike was returned.  
     
    Irie Mon, police can only help if you have a serial number for your bike. Otherwise, you can’t prove that it’s yours.
