I don't blame you

We were at that point, we just didn't want to spend the next 20 years in Manitoba.
Make yourself a pro con list (yes, go old school).
List all your pros and cons and what you want to see moving forward.
List your "escapes" and hobbies, then use that to think about where the best place is for that. Ie, if you love biking on beautiful trails, Vancouver is the place to be. If you love more country rustic stuff, Calgary is better.
Then, do a search on Indeed or Job Bank Canada and check out job listings for your area of expertise and see what comes up.
We've done two big moves in our time, once from Winnipeg to Calgary, then Calgary to Brandon, then Brandon to Vancouver.
My two big suggestions from experience are - try to make a short trip out to find accommodation FIRST, and move as little as you possibly can across the country. With all the expense and time spent packing, moving, unpacking, and all the damage done, we now figure we'd have been better off selling most of our stuff and buying new or used stuff here. (Our furniture was bought for our large house in Brandon so the scale just doesn't work in our smaller townhouse here)
