    dehumidifier bag that hangs from ceiling

    does anyone know what the name of this item? It is a bag of something that absorbs moisture and is hung in the basement from the ceiling and it drips the air moisture into a pail under it....also, where can this be found in Brandon....thanks

    I don't know what they're actually called either, but in previous years I've gotten them at Canadian tire and sometimes Wal-Mart.

    that those are just a bag of rock salt. You could probably make one yourself if necessary. I know some old-timers who dehumidify basements this way.

    They’re called moisture absorbing bags (Rona, $12.59), hanging moisture absorber (Home Depot, called Damprid, $6.99)

    I’ve purchased mine through Home Depot. I wasn’t sure of the name just explained what I was looking for and the clerk knew. Very helpful staff!
