RainaRo said "By your thinking than no one deserves anything. Risk recognition of the general population is something in any job has. No one except the sick person with horrible diseases/infections can know they have it and go anywhere and spread their disease, so every day any one person could be in contact with that infection. Now you can say that the health care workers don’t deserve anything ?! Do you realize most retail workers received extra pay and or bonuses already ? Health care workers get nothing, the government made stupid decisions with very little common sense. The government also has forced unconstitutional laws against the health care workers so that they can’t get a pay increase, they want to make it so that health care workers no longer get their vacation days paid. So F u thinking that health care workers don’t deserve it. I hope you never get sick or hurt and need a health care worker to help you. You and Pallister can share a room.

I appreciate you mentioning that health care workers have not received a pay increase in a very long time, I believe 6 years and counting. Most retail workers do receive incentives, to basically off set their lower rate of pay but gives them a reason to do more to receive that extra pay. We, however, do not. Pallister has also made the comment and has tried very hard, to the point of going to the government, to stop any increase of wage for health care. He does not, and has not ever seen us as people of any worth. This risk pay, is more than just free money to us, it's the slightest bit of acknowledgment he has ever made towards the health care system, and the people who work tirelessly to make sure you stay safe. I truly don't expect people to understand this unless your living it.
