Hi. I am looking to connect with people who have internet service through Xplornet - specifically tower based internet customers in the RIVERS area.  
 
I am an Xplornet customer and it would be helpful to be able to connect with someone else who receives service from the same tower. When our internet goes down for hours or days at a time, it would be nice to know if we are the ONLY customers without service. Why? When we call in to report outages, they never seem to think it's on their end and we spend hours on the phone with them doing diagnostics on our end - and they can't find any issues.  
Then, when it does finally come back on (sometimes days later) ...turns out it was on their end after all.  
 
Would be nice to know (before reporting an outage) if we are the only ones affected. That way, we can tell them right at the start of the call, that we are not the only ones without service.

I am not on the same tower ( i am Newdale South) but experienced the same problems. In general the Xplornet tech people are good but I do not think they see they whole picture.  
I have the 20+ unlimited plan. I was getting speeds of 20 -25 then in January it all went to heck and speeds were below 5 using the google fiber speed test ( which is more accurate for wireless than speedtest.net or fast.com).  
I complained continually and they replaced my radio etc and just told me it was system overload due to COVID.  
Then 2 weeks ago my tower failed and we were off for about 8 hours while they repaired the electronics on the tower. And wowzers ever since then my speeds are up to spec or over 90% of the time, even during peak periods.  
I have a clear line of sight to the tower which is important. If you have trees or buildings in the way things get tricky, even if they are miles away.  
If you are lucky and get the right tech on the phone you may get some improvement. But there are 1 or 2 that try continually to say it is our fault ( too many connected devices, crappy router etc) . I stopped part of that by getting an explornet router and that excuse was shot to heck.  
Try calling in the middle of the night when they are not busy. They can spend time really researching. If you still have origional Netset equipment that could be part of your problem. I was told the netset stuff is not fully compatible with their protocals. I got a new Xplornet radio and things improved.  
Very frustrating if you need the internet for work.  
Remember the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Just keep complaining.  
Oh and they will tell you speed tests are not accurate when speeds are low but when they are high the tests are wonderful. Even if they are not accurate they are relative. If you get 20 at 8 am and 4 at noon on the same test, the numbers may not be exact but the differencre is probably real.
