Tar on Roads

Just wondering if the city plans on leaving the bumps found along Richmond Ave heading east at 10th, 6th and 1st st. The bumps are made by the tar dripping off all of Zenith Paving trucks when they are doing road repairs.

Some of the intersection are going to be nuts when the snow comes. 18th and Brandon, as well as 18th and Richmond south bound median lanes are awful.

It should be company that left that mess to clean it up. It shouldn’t be the cities responsibly. If you follow the tar clumps/ruts it leads to a business on Richmond avenue east.

Looking at the condition of those vehicles I'm surprised it's only tar that's falling off them. And also it's not the city who is responsible for 18th Street. But either way it should be the responsibility of the company but unless someone forces them I highly doubt they'll do it on their own.

I noticed the tar as well on 18th southbound lane and wondered what the deal was. On hot days it’s sticky. 18th as well as Richmond are Manitoba highways.

Tonight Zenith had a crew scrapping the tar off of the intersection of Richmond and 13th street just before it got dark. So it looks like it is being dealt with

It's amazing how a something posted on eBrandon can get action. Hopefully they move over to 18th @ Richmond as that turning lane was horrendous. Good work Zenith......

Zenith Paving has been a Brandon icon for many many years and I would think that they will remove the tar just because it's the good company relations thing to do, not because someone told them the people on eBrandon are complaining.
