I did not say anything disrespectful again those people who want to celebrate Halloween. In fact I respect everyone's right to make their own choice. Your comment that I posted above is a hit on those people who choose to shut the lights out. It was judgmental and uncalled for.
With everything going on in the world, so much division and hate, some where we all have to stop with the sarcasm. Halloween is a tradition many want to celebrate, and lots of people have found some amazing alternative activities to help kids have fun this Halloween instead of going door to door asking for candy.
We can all respect each other's choices.

So, are you saying you have a problem with kids going door to asking for candy? If so, this is a much bigger issue. I think people should just focus on themselves. If you don’t want to hand out candy, then don’t. If you want to go trick or treating, then go. Stop trying to tell others how they should be living their lives. Period.
