Curb side pick up of non essentials?

I had a friend do a curb side pick up at Walmart yesterday. It turned out she got the wrong item and had to go into the store to get a refund . Then she had to go out of the store to get the proper item . The staff came out to her car and said that as of 1:30 The province mandated that all non essential items that were allowed to be picked up at curb side the were no longer allowed to be picked up curbside or sold in the stores . Is this correct for all business??? If someone can post a link to the rule change that would be great!!

There was comment yesterday during the media briefing that ordering on-site of non-essentials was not acceptable... that orders should Be in advance for pickup. Is that maybe what they ran into?

Further to this it doesn’t look like there’s been any change in rules... orders for pickup must be made remotely. If you check out the replay of yesterday, Dr Roussin speaks to in particular at 13:05 and 13:21:

So the logic is you order from home, go to site to pickup at set time, realize you got the wrong item so go into store and return, then drive home and order items again, wait for pickup time then hope you get the right item that time or if not start all over again ?

Am I missing something ?

That sounds right. If it was a non essential item, then it has to be reordered online and picked up again when it’s ready. Unfortunately some things can’t be cut and dry anymore.

this is true its the most absurd thing ive heard lol trying to minimize the in store shopping but the store screws up and now not only are you going in to do a return, you are also wasting your time and money and hoping they get it right instead of them fixing the issue while youre already there....ridiculous and not a good deal for someone relying on others to do this for them..ugh

So much chaos everywhere! I know first hand that the stress load is almost unbearable for many of the workers in these stores. It would be much better if all stores could be open (taking precautions) and each individual be free to make their own choices. All this chaos is not a good way to live.

.....the best they can in the retail stores, this is all new to them also and we are learning as we go, try and be patient....we're all in this together.....
