Hey everyone, last night about 6 I heard a noise outside my front door. When I looked out there was a car (couldn't read the writing on it) and a truck pulling a small trailer decorated with Santa in the back. They were playing Christmas music, Santa was waving, neighbors outside, it was really nice. The man walking with the truck had a mic and was announcing that it was for the United way. They were looking for food and toy donations. I wish I had known I would have had something ready. I did catch up to them and give them a cash donation. He said they were doing it for 4 nights in different areas. Keep your eyes open they are probably desperate for donations this year. Hope they post something to let people know where they will be. It certainly brought some Christmas cheer to my area of town last night.

Unfortunately we knew nothing about it until after the fact and apparently they were through our neighborhood last night; we didn't see or hear them passing by. Wish I had known - was there any promotion of this event? Like OP, I would have had something ready and been watching for them had I known it was happening. I hope those residents in the areas to be covered in the remaining evenings this week are aware that Santa will be driving by. I will be dropping off something to the United Way this week.

Which part of town are you talking about ? I probably missed the truck too !

You can find the maps of which areas they will be in tonight, tomorrow night and Friday night on Expressions Entertainment facebook page. They have the maps posted. They are looking to “fill the trailer” with non perishables, diapers, formula, personal hygiene products, etc, for the United Way hampers. So be sure to check out that page to see what night they will be in your area to have stuff ready. Then listen for the loud Christmas music to run your stuff out to the trailer.

Areas covered last night seemed to be everything east of 1st Street and everything north of Pacific Avenue - not sure if last night’s map is still posted on the Expressions Entertainment FB page to confirm where I think they were last night.  
I missed it last night so picked up some extras when doing my grocery shop this morning and dropped off my donation at one of the United Way drop off locations on my way home.
