I am not arguing that COVID is dangerous but depression and anxiety is not good either. Wear a mask, limit contacts and social distance but don’t be afraid to live. The Christmas lights are a fantastic way to get some sense of normalcy in this crazy world we are in right now. "
Given what we know about the virus I don’t think I’d go quite as far as saying it’s more dangerous to stay at home where there’s basically nil chance of making contacts outside of household, but there is something to be said for with safety in mind still finding ways to strike a balance within the rules that public health has permitted and taking care of one’s physical and mental well being. We will take advantage some of these options from time to time, being mindful of the fact that there’s a point where too many bodies at these places at any given point in time will make distancing very difficult. Going too often during any given week especially at peak times could be contributing to a problem and limiting opportunities for others.
