For those using Simple Tax to do their income tax , you will need a WealthSimple account (they bought Simple Tax last year). It's easy to open. If you already have a WealthSimple account, sign in to access the 2020 Simple Tax return. They both use double security measures where a number code is sent to you for final sign in.  
 
In addition, ANYONE (other than first time filers) using any NET FILE program to file will need to enter a NET FILE ACCESS CODE on their return. This number is found under the date in the top right hand corner of your Notice of Assessment that was sent after you filed your 2019 year's taxes. If you can't find that you can see your assessment (with number) at MY ACCOUNT with the CRA.  
 
Finally, February 22 is the first day you can file your 2020 income taxes.

Buyer beware. There was major disappointment with SimpleTax last year when they sold to Wealthsimple and changed their privacy policy.

Also, there's no reason to have to create an account and put your very personal data on a cloud that you have no control of, especially because there's several stand-alone free-or-donationware programs out there.

I believe they do All types of tax documents including the US Taxes.

Can you go to Netfile from my CRA Account?  
I thought I would try to file it this way this year, but not sure where to go. I found the access code like you said. Now what?

Would highly recommend MNP. They have a specialty tax group available who specializes in US returns.
