On Sunday 14th at 3am i was woken by the dog barking and realized someone was banging on the front door. I did not open the door( i have children) but looked through the window finding a woman 40-45 and 5'8 with short brown hair banging on the door. I asked what she wanted and she told me to open the door to which i refused and again asked what was wrong? she again told me to open the door as she needed to use the washroom and be sick. I informed her I will not open the door to which she said she needed to make a call from my phone and to let her in. I told her if she needs the police I will call them and she should stay there. as soon as I mentioned the police she turned and walked away as fast as she could.  
This was very Strange for several reasons, first she did not appear to be under the influence of any substance at all or seem to be distressed/injured( she was very calm). Secondly when she left she got straight into a vehicle which was running and she kept turning to look at during the discussion.  
Surely if she needed help which i did not provide, why would she not try a neighbor or allow me to call for help?  
I made a full report to the Brandon police service and made sure the house was secure.  
I have my young family living with me and will not open the door to anyone who is not invited any time of day.  
I seem to remember reading about something similar recently where once the door is opened the person collapses/faints in the door way keeping the door open. which allows accomplices the opportunity to gain entry.  
Has anyone else experienced this?  
I genuinely hope I was mistaken and no one else ends up in distress.  
Look your doors and do not open them!

I would never, anytime of day like you said, open the door and allow a complete stranger into my house. I have lived in brandon my whole life and where there may have been a time I might have opened my door, I certainly wouldn’t do that now. Thanks for the heads up, we all need to be cautious and on alert. If you don’t mind sharing, what area of Brandon did this occur?

are always locked, ever since we moved here.  
One time many years ago there appeared a woman at the front door, asked my dad if she could come in, of course he said no. Her next words?  
"I'm not going to stab you". OMG!  
The only time a family member didn't lock the door some chick who was highly intoxicated just came thru both doors into the house! She got the bums rush PDQ and the police had to come to get her out of our yard!  
So always lock your door and the nicer weather is coming if you go out the back door to do yard work make sure the front door is locked!

We had a man come to our door a few years back and he was banging on the door. He was very drunk then he went to our neighbors and we had to call the police because he would not leave. A few years back my ex-husband had some lady jump on his truck and the police had to be called again. She ran off before they got there but they found her at 7-11 across the street. We always lock our door no matter what.
