Hearing Caroline Hunter on this new Bounce station. I know she is based in Winnipeg. Did we now lose our local people on air?

I knew they rebranded, but wondering if they are broadcasting it all from Winnipeg now instead of using the local talent we have [had]

I hope the station here isn't gone...

It was announced quite clearly when bounce launched the other day that it would continue to broadcast from Brandon with our regular hosts who would remain in Brandon.

Posts would indicate that Caroline Hunter lives in Winnipeg. Likely broadcasts from there as well.  
 
Wouldn’t be the first time. There used to be a female DJ that did a morning show in Wpg and the afternoon show on KX-96 or Bob fm.

Yup, I remember. She used to do middays on Star FM in Brandon before moving to Winnipeg. She was later piped in from Winnipeg to do middays on KX 96 befire it changed to BOB.  
 
Caroline isn't the only Winnipeg announcer now as they now bring in Travis Mitchell from 999 on Saturdays and Sundays as well as national DJ Taylor Kaye who used to have a show on Star and a national dance party. You have to give her credit here: she actually records a weather forecast for the Westman area too!!  
 
Make of all this what you will. I know it sucks for Mike, Matt and Darrian who used to announce on the weekends as well, but it gives them a much needed break on weekends now. The same thing happens on Pure Country 101 which has a national midday and evening show as well as weekends.

Bell (Pure and Bounce) often uses announcers from other markets for their shows. They also have a lot of local talent. KC (pure), Matt and Mike, Darrian, Ty are local. Everyone else is either from Winnipeg or syndicated across the country. Weekday announcers do not do a live shows on the weekends - these shows are pre-recorded.  
 
Westman Radio has live people on the weekends and they don’t do as much prerecording. One announcer might be on both stations at the same time though.
