Condos built on a slab

I am interested in buying a condo but after talking to some people there condos built on a slab are cold. I don’t know why they don’t put in piping and a boiler to heat the slab. I was in Crows General Store in the winter and that is what he heats the lower level with and has a furnace for upper level. Some people have condos with a crawl space and they seem to have a warm floor.

I owned a condo that was built on a slab foundation for 4 years and I never found it to be cold. I had both carpet and linoleum, both were comfortable, no colder than the flooring in any of the other houses I've lived in.

I own a condo on a slab, and I've had no issues with it being cold at all. I have lived here for over five years, and never had a problem.

We had a condo on a slab (not in Brandon), and we never had any problem. But remember, some builders are much better than others. So, do not discount your friends' experience, rather, check around to see who built theirs versus who built the one you are considering. ,Then compare that to the builders reputation before you decide.

The Landing Condos

We are in The Landing with a slab condo. Floors are warm in winter. We have cork flooring. No complaints at all. As others have said, may depend on the build.
