I have sent a message to MB highways but just wondering if anyone knows how long or what exactly the plan is for the temporary entrance at this gas station on highway 10 north? It’s been over a year now that the temporary access sign has been up on the highway. My family and myself have had many issues with being cut off or having someone dead stop in front without signalling. Also have seen many close calls. It’s a 100 km speed zone so the entrance approaching the corner and just around the corner seems rather dangerous. The gas station is getting to be busy as well so more turning and exiting is occurring and another winter is coming with possibly the same set up on this busy highway.

Nothing will be done until there is a serious incident. That’s the way the system works.

That's a bad intersection. I'm very surprised they haven't lowered the speed limit of Highway 10 to 80km per hour to atleast the intersection of the Airport.

I too have been wondering about this for a while now, I'm surprised highways/permitting department allowed them to do it in the first place, it seems most service roads are redirected when they repave the highway nowadays.  
 
I assumed their access would be off the airport road.

As someone who gets gas there often I agree it’s a bad corner. I definitely think reducing the speed limit until the airport road would help.

Well it was done because the permanent access road off Sandison Road (Airport Road) got flooded out and washed away hence the temp access. I haven't been by in a while to see if it's been repaired but I assume once it's fixed the temp access will be removed and original road to access will be used.

and the repairs are the responsibility of the gas bar owners, so they just refuse to do them since the hwy 10 access is more convenient for customers. the government is too scared to force the owners into the repairs so they will likely just use our tax dollars to build an extra lane so the gas bar can have their own turning lane (even though when they bought the land the agreement was that the access would be off airport road). i agree with a previous poster, nothing will happen until someone dies and lets pray that it's not me and my kids.

That’s unfortunate. Here we get lanes for turning on each side on the highway at the Airport road making things safer and allowing better traffic flow and then shortly after we are back to square one on an even worse spot on highway. Whoever is responsible please make it right. Access off the airport road would make better sense at that spot. ‘Temporary’ has already extended long enough. Sure hope no one gets hurt or worse at this dangerous spot.
