Honesty

I had an meeting today in Brandon on 10th St. When the meeting ended at 1230 pm, I went to my car and noticed damage to the front end of my car. Since I did not witness anything, I can only surmise that someone backed into my car. I am not an autobody expert, but I don't think the damage is in the thousands of dollars range, however, the damage is enough that it is noticeable and fixable.
Now I am a pretty easy going person, and I wouldn't get wrapped around the axel too much over this. I am however angry and disappointed that someone would actually back into a vehicle and simply drive away without leaving a note on my windshield saying what happened and contact information. Would it be too much to expect someone to actually own up to and be honest about what they did??? I know I would.
What would you do if you were me, or if you accidently backed into another vehicle?
I made the first car payment on the 1st, so this stings just a little.
