I thought all school ventilation systems were upgraded in 2020. Why is more money being put towards ventilation systems then? The childern walking into mb schools should be going into a safe environment. Parents need truthful information from school boards so they know they are sending their child/childern into a safe learning environment.

It costs *a lot* of money to upgrade some of these system, especially in older buildings. The recommended turnover rate is 6 changes per hour, meaning the entire room/building is all new air every 10 min.  
 
It would cost millions more than allocated province-wide and probably take several years to complete.

While I agree with your concerns, the cost alone for all the schools to be upgraded would be massive - there is a lot more work that goes into this then people realize when it comes to upgrading Hvac. The growing cost of materials/supply and demand in sourcing materials as well, for something that might not make a significant change in whats going on right now
