Most large organizations work on a FIFO basis - First In, First Out - when it comes to workload.
While I'm sympathetic that you feel your issue is important, so do probably most callers and customers. When did you call? If you called this morning, it hasn't even been a full 24 hours, plus they may need to deal with anyone who left a message before you first.
I know it's hard to be patient, especially when we feel like our issues are urgent. Just leave a message at the best number to get a hold of you from (or where they can at least leave a message - sometimes you can get a name & extension number that way). Then carry on with your day. Give it a day or two. Then try again.
