Heading to the city for first time in 3 years looking for some recommendations for any new and cool restaurants as well as maybe some side excursions for a day?

Not really a restaurant per se, but if you like donuts with all kinds of random flavours give them a try! We go everytime we are in the city.

What kind of food are you into? Winnipeg has such a good variety of places to eat at. It also has two restaurants that were named among the top 100 in Canada: Maque and Close Company.

Aviation Museum just opened. It's on Wellington. Just have to go around past the terminal.

Always changing and interesting. I love the polar bear habitat.

Used to be a little drive-in restaurant called juniors way back in the day is it still around the city somewhere? I love their fat boy burgers. Gonna try the BDI for an ice cream snack. Also I like to listen to live rock music if the hotels still have it. Used to be some pretty cool looking restaurants in the exchange district as well.

There's still a few Junior's in Winnipeg. The Burger Place on Portage Ave and Dairi Wip on Marion St also have good burgers. Dairi Wip is also close to Dug and Betty's, probably my favorite ice cream place in the city

Check out all of the top menu tabs, as there's more than you might think on here with some digging. Neat site if you want to watch your budget, yet see some interesting things.
