I know that I read somewhere that one of the local clubs are selling these but now can't find it. Does anyone know where and when this is happening?? TIA

It’s that time again…Potatoes & Pumpkins! We’ll be selling Friday Sept 30th 1:30-5 and Saturday Oct 1st 9-5  
We sold out fast last year so don’t wait too long!!  
Potatoes in 50lb bags $10  
Pumpkins $3-$5 each  
Location for Potato & Pumpkin sale will be across from Kelleher Ford on 18th Street North  
Look for our signs!!

They sold out of potatoes in just over an hour.

I heard on the radio yesterday October 6th that you (Legion) were having your potato and pumpkin sale again across from kelleher Ford today and tomorrow yet we don't see you. Are you selling anywhere this weekend

The sale was on Oct 1/2 only and from what I’m reading before you the potatoes sold out within an hour of being open

I waited in line and got some potatoes and pumpkins. I suggested to them that they should raise their prices on the potatoes. Even if only another $5/bag (if not more). You couldn’t get that many potatoes at a grocery store for only $10. And it’s for a great cause. One of the workers said they had 450 bags to sell. That’s a lot of work, bagging all of the potatoes, for ‘only’ $4500! Regardless of what they are charging, it’s a great fundraiser. Although I do think they’d still sell out if they charged a bit more, and it could generate more revenue for local charities. Overall, great job Lion’s Club, and thank you for all that you do!
